I am off to a wedding this weekend, lets hope that its a nice sunny day and that the showers hold off. I have been pretty organised and have already planned my outfit, organised my make up & wash bag, and also have bought the prezzi. Usually I have a panic the day before I leave but not this time, I'm ready to go, hurry up weekend!
So what have I packed? first of all the outfit:
Necklace: River Island
Clutch: Louis Vuitton
Bracelets: River Island
Flower clip: Newlook
Bit of a mixed bag but I think it works, I have brought out the big guns with the Louis & Louboutins, its a special occasion so why not. After I took these pics I went and bought a belt to go with the dress (see above) this was from Newlook.
Next, on to the washbag:
I have managed to accumulate a lot of travel sized beauty products, normally I tend to pack my full size items forgetting about the mini versions I have also bought. This time I have consciously decided to bring my minis which includes - Sheer Blonde shampoo & conditioner mini's, Liz Earle body cream, Elemis body wash, Lancome eye make up remover, Mitchum antiperspirant, toothpaste & a hair volume spray.
Things to note - 1) How cute is this Miss Dior! 2) I am going to decanter the L'oreal cleanser (reviewed here) into a travel pot 3) The colour shot (Pink Patent reviewed here) was sooo eager to come with me it ended up in both my wash bad & make-up bag pics.... 4) Toothpaste from the airplane to Thailand!
Next (this is where it gets more exciting) the make up bag:
I am still going to use my everyday make-up for the base, using MAC Prep & Prime followed by Estee Lauder Doublewear, MAC Select Coverup for blemishes and then Benefit fake up for the undereye area. To set I will be using MAC Select Sheer powder, a must for me if I am out all day & night.
For the eyes I am going to go for soft pinks & browns, my Dior palette is perfect for this, its so versatile and would love to replace it (as i've hit pan on two shades) but I bought it ages ago so doubt its still available. I am bringing two liners, a black Estee kajal liner for my water line & a brown MAC Orpheus for smudging around the eye. I recently bought the new MAC mascara, I love it but I won't say much more as I will be reviewing it soon. For contouring & blush I am going to use an Estee Lauder compact, also I am going to pat a layer of cello shot over the top of the blush for staying power.
Lastly I have chosen a peachy lipstick shade MAC Innocence which I think will tone in nicely with the outfit.
Reviewing my make up collection, I realize just how much MAC and Estee I own, I really should get out more! I am going to broaden my horizons and buy some different brands on my next shop.
Things to note 1) MAC Innocence - a frost shade 2) Estee compact - this was part of a Michael Kors promotion 3) Dior palette, beautiful isn't she 4) My everyday brushes
And lastly the prezzi - No I'm not telling you what it is that's cheating!
Have you had to pack for a wedding this summer?
